Management projects and activities
URUSHI PROJECT
Until now, most lacquer has been imported from China, but from 2008, it has become mandatory to use domestically produced lacquer for the restoration of important national cultural properties. In order to increase the self-sufficiency rate of domestically produced lacquer, which is indispensable for the inheritance of other traditional crafts, the Club will engage in planting and cultivating lacquer trees. By planting trees, we will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and the utilization of farmland.
Beautification and maintenance of abandoned farmland（BMAF）project
The Club assists landowners who wish to make effective use of abandoned land by mowing and clearing it, etc. The Broken Windows Theory applies to abandoned land as well, as uninterested land can lead to deterioration of public safety in the surrounding area, disruption of the landscape, vermin problems, etc. We make effective use of the land by cultivating plants and other means.
